Described as a multi disciplinary performance festival featuring 37 sections by the AA Interprofessional Studio, 2021-2022, ECHO runs until the 25th March 2022 in Heal’s department store on Tottenham Court Road, London, W1.
The exhibition can be found on the first floor and basement and seeks to be a “response to humanity’s relationship with the world, each other, and ourselves.”
The website says:
The exhibition explores AAIS 2021-2022 interpretation of the sacrifices, the achievements, and the meditative reflections of the echoing ideas of our world.
Echo considers what it feels to be reminiscent of what we once had, what we lost, and what we have now. It reflects how we transmit our reaction to acknowledging the reality of our intangible experiences to the physical and virtual worlds.
The gallery space will feature ten performative sections: Power Off, Fantasia, Reconstruction, The Initial Metaverse, The Floating Life, Myself, Advertise-verse, Invisible cage, How was your day?, Rockrose, and three performance screenings: Alyosha, Undoing self, and The music of our Dreams.
I wasn’t entirely sure what was going on here but it was enjoyable to watch.
The dancing was beautiful.
