I recently returned to the top of the Shard Tower in London to take in some fabulous vistas and see how the viewing platform had changed since my first visit eight years ago.
London Bridge station has been completely rebuilt.

City of London. In the foreground can be seen the ‘Walkie Talkie’ tower which has its own rooftop viewing platform.

See the totally pointless, rarely-spinning turbines of the Strata Tower in south London.
Brixton’s iconic Barrier Block can be seen behind the white tower blocks of the 1950s Loughborough Estate.
The curved tracks mark the site of the disused Spa Road and Bermondsey railway station.

A loo with a view!
Canary Wharf.
River Thames.
St Paul’s.
Looking up to the top of the Shard.
The curved One Blackfriars skyscraper.
Unofficially called the ‘Boomerang,’ it’s stuffed full of the usual luxury apartments – the most expensive goes for £23m – and there’s obviously no affordable or social housing provided.
Cocktail bar at the Shard.
Looking towards Vauxhall and Nine Elms.

Is it possible to get some fresh air up the top of the Shard? Just wondering if there had been a suicide yet or if it is possible to leap up there? Thanks in advance for replying.
Parts of the top terrace are open to the elements but the glass goes up some ten feet or so, making very difficult for someone to go over the edge.
