Brockwell Hall

This fine Georgian mansion was built in 1813 for John Blades, a glass manufacturer in the City, who bought most of the land which is now Brockwell Park.

In 1891, the London County Council bought the land and building, with later acquisitions providing a total of 124 acres of public parkland.
