Building work outside St Pancras station

Much of the work is hidden from view, with a new Eurostar departure hall and Underground booking hall being created underneath the station and hotel buildings.

These will occupy some of the space under the raised station platforms - these were built some 20ft above street level to accommodate the cellars that once stored barrels of Burton beer, brought down to London by train.
