Couple walking to the castle

A couple walk through the narrow streets of Nantes towards the Château des Ducs de Bretagne - a medieval ducal castle featuring towers and a moat.

The castle, built in 1466 by François II and fortified by the Duke of Mercoeur during the 'troubles de la Ligue' (troubles of the league), also hosts museums of regional art and culture, textiles, and local history.
