River Thames, looking east from the Bankside

At low tide, you can walk along the south 'beach' of the Thames by Bankside.

The riverside is scattered with reminders of London's past, with oyster shells, bits of old pottery and broken 17th Century clay pipes easily spotted amongst the sand and pebbles.
