Santorini 2004

Things are pretty quiet in this mid-afternoon shot.

Ia was once a thriving seaport, sporting over 9,000 inhabitants in 1900. Between them, they owned 164 seafaring vessels and seven shipyards.

After the devastating 1956 earthquake, many of the mariners left for Piraeus. The population now hovers around 500 souls.
