The World Press Photo Exhibition 2024 has stopped off at Borough Yards as part of its world-wide tour, and it makes for an almost overwhelming emotional experience.
The annual exhibition showcases the best and most important photojournalism and documentary photography of the last year, with the topics including the plight of asylum seekers, the impact of global warming on communities, mental health, natural disasters and war.
Perhaps the most moving image of all was this devastating photo of Mesut Hançer holding the hand of his 15 year old daughter Irmak, who had been killed while asleep during an earthquake in southern Turkey.
