Goodbye Concorde!
The most beautiful passenger planes ever built make their final flights today, with three Concordes landing within minutes of each other at 1600 pm at Heathrow. There’s a host of reasons why I should hate the plane (massive pollution, it’s for toffs etc), but I’m won over every time by its grace, its power, its stunning beauty and its incredible technological achievement. I hear it roaring over my house every day and it’ll be much missed.
