The Moon’s closer proximity to the Earth made for a spectacular sunset over the River Thames yesterday evening.
Here the Moon can be seen rising behind Blackfriars Bridge, with the ‘Cheesegrater’ skyscraper to the right.
Later that night the Moon would appear a stunning shade of red due to a lunar eclipse. I got up in the middle of the night to take a look, but London’s skies were filled by a chilly mist and clouds obscuring what would have been a spectacular sight. Damn!
