A trip inside the Camberwell Submarine

This remarkable nuclear sub-like structure sits in the middle of a fairly quiet road in south London.

Deep below the ground, boilers provide heat for local council estates, with the ‘submarine’ acting as ventilation.

I was lucky enough to be invited to take a look deep inside.
