Located just off Fleet Street, the St Bride Printing School is tasked with keeping the tradition and heritage of printing alive, and offers a wide selection of workshops, lectures and conferences.
Opened in 1895 as a social, educational and cultural centre, the St Bride Foundation housed both a technical library and printing school providing tuition for local printers and students. As the school grew in size, it eventually outgrew its premises and relocated before turning into the London College of Communication.
Here’s some photos from the printing room, showing off some fabulous vintage presses and printing equipment.
