I love walking through cities in the rain, and when it’s New York in late November, there’s rarely any shortage of the stuff.
Here’s three of my favourite photos from a walk around Battery Park at the southern tip of Manhattan in November 2004.
The rain was really hammering down, so thankfully there was no-one else around to see my comic battle with my umbrella which was being bent inside out by the wind as as I struggled to take these pictures – and keep my camera dry.
As grey days go, they don’t come much more miserable than this one!
Here’s a view taken looking across the Hudson river to Hoboken, New Jersey. Next stop was a cafe for a warming cuppa!
