There was much a-tootin’ of horns around the streets of Trafalgar Square last night, as a bevy of motorcyclists from the “No To the Bike Parking Tax” campaign group headed into town.
The group describes itself as a non-political action group representing “motorcyclists and scooterists who object to [the] illegitimate introduction of parking levies by Westminster City Council and any other authorities.”
The campaigners are lobbying for the withdrawal of parking taxes and a full refund of all fees stumped up to date by riders, and have already already raised nearly £90,000 from supporters for a legal fund.
More protest are planned – check out their website for updates and news.
If it polutes, charge it. So dump the combustion engine get electric and park for free.
