Brixton’s past: New Orleans style funeral procession on Brixton Road

Seen making its way slowly up Brixton Road on a wet summer afternoon in 1993 was this New Orleans style funeral procession.

Just behind the band is the coffin, which was being carried in a horse drawn carriage.
