Yesterday we enjoyed the Unofficial Alternative Country Show picnic, with the sun finally coming out and shining on Brixton town – and Brockwell Park.
Temperatures were well up in the high 20s C, so many cooling beers were consumed as we loafed about in a packed park. Summer’s here!
Hopefully getting some long-overdue loving care and attention is the park’s 1897 turret clock, located close to Brockwell Hall.
A gift from Sir Charles Ernest Tritton, MP for Norwood, the clock is a copy of the one at the Victoria end of Vauxhall Bridge Road.
