Now in its final week, this free David Bowie exhibition in the Kingston Museum provides a fascinating insight into when the Ziggy Stardust character was first unveiled to the world.
The exhibition starts from the pivotal moment in David Bowie’s career when he launched his Ziggy persona at Tolworth’s Toby Jug in February 1972, and explore how he later returned for a gig at Kingston Polytechnic (now Kingston University) in May 1972.
It also looks at the shifting trends of Kingston’s art, music and pop fashion scene around this time.
It’s a fairly small installation but full of interest, as is the rest of the museum.
