On Sunday, I visited the 2012 Handmade And Bound independent fair, a showcase for limited edition, affordable, handmade artists’ books, comics and zines.
Put together by my good friends Simon and Anne (who swiftly collared me into photographic duties), this year’s fair took place at the St Bride Foundation, off Fleet Street, London EC4, and attracted a good turn out of exhibitors and visitors.
The free event aims to present a balance of handmade artists’ books and old-fashioned zines (in the DIY punk tradition), and is open to anyone who makes their stuff, as opposed to sending it off to the printers.
Spot the hipster!
Prizes for the best three exhibitors were given out by Simon, who manfully tussled with his role as MC.
First prize winners!
The fair took place over two rooms.
The prize winning work.
Good coverage of the fair with some really good photographs. We are really pleased to have won the first prize at the show. Please feel free to visit our blog to find out more about it. We rebloged some of your photographs, hope that is ok. fondzine.tumblr.com
