Barry Island was the busiest I’ve seen it for a very long time yesterday, as hundreds of people took advantage of the glorious weather, and filled the beach and promenade.
Such were the crowds that extra staff needed to be employed at Barry Island railway station, as social distancing requirements meant that the available number of seats on trains had been drastically reduced.
Here’s some of the scenes we captured yesterday afternoon:
The fairground was in full swing.
The water was a long way out!
Lifeguards were in attendance.
Moving the flag as the tide came in.
Heading to the water!
Along the headland.
