Briefly on display at the Phillips gallery in Berkeley Square was an exhibition of assorted Damien Hirst pieces, all with suitably eye watering prices.
Phillips – who like to describe themselves as “the world’s most dynamic and forward-thinking auction house” – had displayed the work in preparation for an auction.
Some of the work was fun, interesting, challenging and – in one example (see below) – truly naff.
Perhaps my favourite ‘piece’ of all was this little cat painted on to the street sign outside the gallery.
