Situated close to Loughborough Junction station is the S.I.A. Community Arts Cafe, billed as “an imaginative and creative space that is sure to become a meeting point for south London’s arts and crafts community.”
I popped in for a quick filter coffee en route to Dulwich Hamlet’s football ground to find a group of ladies busily knitting away.
The licensed cafe serves up hot and cold snacks, meat and veggie lunches, tea, coffee and cakes, and it’s a lovely, friendly, unfussy place with a laid-back, arty feel.
The venue also offers a range of carnival, food, arts and craft workshops and activities, including recycled craft, sewing, jewellery making, cooking, textile adornment, costume making, kid’s arts and crafts and more.
