The Lambeth Country Show is always a highlight of my year, and this year it will be taking part on the 16th and 17th July in its usual location at Brockwell Park.
The line-up for the weekend has been released – scroll down for details of who’s playing the Main and Village Green stages:
Main stage
Saturday 16 July – 1.30 to 6.30pm
- 1.30pm: Latin dub sound system (DJ decks, congo drums, live horn, mic)
- 3.10pm: Angie Brown – south London singer song writer and soulstress
- 3.30pm: Latin dub sound system
- 3.40pm: Ska Cubano live 12 piece latino ska act with Natty from Brixton at the helm
- 5pm: Latin Dub sound system
- 5.15pm: Diane Charlemagne, local Brixton resident, ex lead vocals with Moby.
- 5.30pm: Afro Beat All Stars featuring the music of Fela Kuti and dancers from FELA! the stage musical. Musicians based in Lambeth
- 6.30pm: Show ends

After show party!
On Saturday night we’ve got a FREE after party on at the Prince Albert in Coldharbour Lane, with ace hip-hop outfit The Scribes playing live, with DJs playing until 2am.

what has the olympics got to do with no country show have been attending this ever since it started if it was not bad enough that last year we was reduced to one firework display and now no COUNTRY SHOW what are lambeth doing it gives elderly people a chance to go somewhere for nothing and a good day for familys that does not cost the earth scrap the olympics its not that greater interest to london is just a waste of money
