I’d forgotten what a cracking little performer the Olympus 9mm-18mm wide angle lens is, so over the past few days I’ve been using it as I walk around central London.
The lens was paired with an Olympus OM=D E-M5III/Pen F and all the images were taken as JPPGs and are pretty much straight out of the camera, with minimal editing.
The lens carries a useful range of 18-36mm in 35mm terms and is incredibly compact and lightweight with a length of only 49.5mm (when retracted) and a weight of just 155g,
It’s not the fastest lens around with a maximum aperture of f/4-5.6, but with secondhand copies going for around £250 upwards, it’s a wonderfully affordable addition to your camera bag.
