Well worth a visit is the Museum of London’s ‘London street photography’ exhibition, showing over 200 candid street scenes from 1860 to the present day.
The exhibition is free and runs until 4 September 2011, but be warned: it can get very busy indeed, so if you’re thinking of visiting during a weekend or school holiday, make sure you give yourself enough time.
If you find it’s too busy for your tastes, the good news is that there’s loads of other great stuff to see in the museum, which enjoyed a £20 million redevelopment in 2010 (see our feature here).
Cafes
There’s also two decent cafes in the museum too, although the food is a little pricey and they insist on serving coffee in paper cups. If we’re eating in, give us proper china cups, dammit!
