Here’s another selection of photos from our December 2010 NYC trip, starting with these buskers on Bedford Avenue subway station, Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Roadworks, 1st Avenue, NYC.
A rather elderly (and, it has to be said, not very convincing) transvestite applies some make up, 14 Street subway station.
Light and mirror, the Cake Shop cafe, Ludlow Street, Lower East Side, NYC.
Street signs, W48th St.
Seriously knackered Chinook station wagon, Midtown.
Just be cool, NYPD cops.
Rusting sign for an abandoned hotel, Barrow St/Hudson Street, NYC.
This perhaps isn’t the best place to park in downtown New York.
Old nuclear fallout sign.
You can see many of these signs on buildings around Manhattan, with the shelters being constructed by the federal government as part of the Community Fallout Shelter Program during the Cold War of the early 1960s.
Painted van, St Marks Place.
Christmas shoppers clutching Bloomingdales bags, Chelsea.
Detour sign, Waverley Place, Greenwich Village.
Great photos, which I enjoyed very much.
