There was a lot of smiling faces at the Brixton Albert last night as we put on our Offline Christmas party, and held a fiercely fought contest to discover Brixton’s Best Bono.
The evening marked the début – and quite possibly the final gig – of Sleighed, who got the crowd singing along to a load of festive singalongs.
It was also my first gig in a very long time, and it was great to get behind the kit again – even if I was thumping along to Wham and East17!
A special Bono-o-meter was made for the Bono comp, where members of the audience were invited on stage to try and sing the Bono line from “Feed The World” with the most earnestness, sincerity and buttock clenching emotion.
The winning Bono in action!
More of the night photos here – and we’re back tonight for a Hip-Hop/Rock’n’Roll special with Cable35 and Olos – and it’s FREE!
