It looks like things are going to be busy in Brixton tonight with over 600 people signing up for a party in Windrush Square following the death of Margaret Thatcher.

An event on Facebook entitled “Street Party In Brixton #nowthatchersdead,” swiftly attracted over 600 people – a figure I expect to keep on rising.
Here’s how the organiser ‘Brixton Rebels’ describe the event:
A party to celebrate the death of Thatcher and our continuing commitment to fight the legacy she left and that continues to devastate the lives of ordinary people everywhere.
The event starts at 5:30pm tonight at Windrush Square, central Brixton, London SW2 1JQ.
