London’s Getty Gallery is currently hosting the Renaissance Photography Prize 2017, an international photography award that discovers and celebrates outstanding work from emerging and established photographers, while raising funds to support young women with breast cancer.
The short-run exhibition (it closes on the 21st October) displays the winning, shortlisted and finalist entries selected for the 10th edition of the Renaissance Photography Prize.
This year, entrants were invited to submit single images in the categories, Identity, Border and Life, or series of work in an open category, with thousands of photographs being submitted from countries worldwide.
All profit from entry fees is donated to the Lavender Trust at Breast Cancer Care, with 100% of the proceeds from photo sales at the exhibition going to the charity. In subsequent sales of any one image, the proceeds will be shared 50/50 between the charity and the photographer.
