Here’s just a few examples of the remarkable work on display at this year’s Portrait Award at the National Portrait Gallery
Thankfully now stripped of its BP Sponsorship (its full title is now the Herbert Smith Freehill Portrait Award), the exhibition runs until the 27th October 2024.
Best of all, it’s free admission, and there’s plenty more you can see at this recently refurbished central London gallery.
Self Portrait at Low Tide, 2023 by Alex Tzavaras.
Self by Wendy Barratt.
Breakfast with Banana, 2023 by Jane Brodie.
Gerard in Hospice, 2023 by Jackie Anderson.
Agnese, 2023 by Massimiliano Pironti.
First prize winner, Jacqueline with Still Life (2020) by Antony Williams.
