Here’s a fairly random collection of photos taken around Brixton last Saturday night, starting with a snapshot of the bike racks on Brixton Road.
Five years ago, you’d be hard pressed to find anywhere to lock up your bike on this stretch, so it’s good to see reasonably safe provision being made for cyclists.
It’s even better to note that it’s full up with ‘normal’ bikes too – if this was Shoreditch you’d be looking at rows of fixed wheel hipster bikes.
Drinkers at Craft Beer Co on Station Road.
I’ve really tried to like this place because there’s a fantastic selection of beers on offer, but it still feels cold and sterile inside to me.
Upstairs at the Ritzy watching local boys Drunken Balordi do their stuff onstage. See a full review here.

A late night tipple at the Prince Albert perhaps? At least I managed to resist the Jager bombs.
In the back garden.
Closing time at the Albert and Kev has a box on his head. And why not.
Three am Sunday morning, Coldharbour Lane. George’s barbers and Gresham Cafe in the rain.
