Loughborough Junction may be in motion, but one place that has been stationary for years is the old Crown pub at 201, Coldharbour Lane SW9/corner of Padfield Road, SE5.
The pub closed around 2002, and was squatted briefly before being allowed to slowly rot away.

The Crown was renamed as the Mucky Duck in the 1990s and is probably the boozer referenced by Streets rapper Mike Skinner (who lived nearby) in his song, “Let’s push things forward.”:
“As London Bridge burns down, Brixton’s burning up
Turns out your in luck
Cos I know this dodgy fuck in The Duck.”
The building is now in very poor state of repair.
December 2005 view, after the squatters had ‘personalised’ the upstairs windows.

I have just heard from one of the builders on the site that this will become a Sainsburys Local with flats above. Can anyone verify this?
