As 2011 draws to a close, I’ve broken out the calculator and done some totting up to find out which posts have proved the most popular with readers on my blog for the year.
Sitting at the top of the pile is my photo report documenting the rise of what will be Europe’s tallest building: The London Shard at London Bridge, London SE1 continues to soar.
Although the piece was written back in Nov 2010, it still notched up a load of page views in 2011, as did the many updates I posted throughout the year.
In second place was the 2009 London Naked Bike Ride which – curiously enough – managed to attract nearly a thousand page views more than the report from this years ride: London Naked Bike Ride 2011 – all the wobbly bits in a full photo report.
In fourth place was the London Slutwalk 2011- full photo report, followed by the report of the BT Telecom Tower restaurant plans being abandoned.
Other popular posts in 2011 included Camden Market photos, New London Routemaster unveiled as a full size model, ‘Lice Sex Shop,’ bookshops, old hospitals and autumnal London street scenes and A look inside the Electric Brixton, formerly the Brixton Fridge.
