Brixtonites and Victoria Line users can brace themselves for yet another chuffing tube closure this weekend, with the entire Victoria Line suspended for 48 hours.
No tubes will run on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th February 2012 as a result of signalling work taking place.
In an attempt to placate passengers thoroughly pissed off with a series of line closures that seem to have gone on forever, TfL have released a grainy video explaining how the old signalling is causing delays.
TfL say that the line currently works on a combination of old and new signals, so upgrading the entire line to the shiny new system should result in faster trains and, in turn, shorter journey times.
We’ll believe it when we see it.
