Wedged between fashionable recent incomers in Brixton Village (Granville Arcade) is the Music Temple record and CD exchange, a fantastic place to track down rare reggae records.
Specialising in traditional vinyl, the slightly shambolic record shop is a goldmine for connoisseurs of roots, ska, dub and reggae.
The store has been run by local reggae aficionado Simon for over three years, and is open on Thursdays, Friday and Saturdays. Get down and support your record local store!
I think it is wonderful to see a proper record shop whilst I just happen to be in the area yesterday 9th june, which reminds me of the type of record shops that used to fill the granville arcade back in the seventies, the last vinyl record LP I bought in granville arcade back in the 1970;s was an LP called “Fighting Dub by Skin Flesh and Bone, and to this day I still have that record, I will pop in again soon to browse, and if I see a record I like will buy, Thankyou, regards, Tom, Crystal Palace.
