With its street level buildings suffering a fairly ghastly rebuilding in the not so distant past, Wandsworth Town railway station is a bit of a Spartan affair.
Although the island platform has some attractive original buildings and retains its long canopy, London-bound travellers are rather more exposed to the elements.
No canopy, no dry
The platform canopy has long vanished leaving commuters the choice of either huddling by the entrance to the stairs when it rains, or herding into a tiny, characterless modern structure further along the platform.
With no room in either, I stood in the pouring rain and grabbed a couple of snaps while I waited for the delayed 17:14 train into Vauxhall.
My train arrives. Get me out of here!
