In response to the recent rioting, an event called ‘We Love Brixton’ took place on Windrush Square in the centre of town on Saturday.
Organised by residents and shopowners from Brixton Village (Granville Arcade), the event featured speakers, poetry and live music, but centrepiece of the event was the 8ft high wooden letters spelling ‘WE LOVE BRIXTON.’
Gaze at the power at Brixton’s fountain fine mist creator.
People were encouraged to write whatever they liked on the letters, although some folks had clearly come more prepared than others.
Not quite sure what the image of the masked rioter was doing on the letters.
Kids loved scrambling around the letters.
