The first farmer's market for Brixton opened on Sunday 13th September, running from 10am - 2pm on Brixton Station Road, close to the centre of Brixton.
Here's how they describe their fare:
"Unpasteurised organic milk direct from East Sussex, fish straight from the fishing boat in Poole, London baked artisan bread, new season game, the freshest fruit and vegetables, Somerset cheddar, beautiful outdoor grown flowers, organic and free range meat and poultry, home made cakes and jams and lots more."
By Brixton Road.
Cider. Oh yes!
The market seemed pretty busy when I was there and I managed to bag some lovely cheese and bread. This extra mature cheddar was not for the faint hearted!
