Glastonbury 2007: Saturday - Iggy and Trash City. Our last day of fun. (Photos/words © urban75, June 2007) Chipperfield's Ferris Wheel. Colourful wellies and brown mud. Chinese Lion thing. Watching the Ferris Wheel queue. They are having fun, Godammit! Iggy Pop was sensational and by far one of the best acts of the weekend. Iggy invited people onstage, and these guys carrying a banner demanding the reinstating of Wispa chocolate bars were some of the first to take him up on his offer. Mayhem broke out onstage. Onstage rock'n'roll chaos! For some reason, Iggy decided to get people off the stage by singing an old American classic song. I think it baffled the crowd off. Iggy back in action "Double dog!" Fantastic stuff! "No Fun." Iggy says goodnight. The incredible recreation of downtown 1970s New York hosted Glastonbury's first gay disco in Trash City. The attention to detail in the 'NYC Downlow' frontage was superb. The Flaming Love Palace in Trash City. Freakshow. "Come and see the human fly!" « Glastonbury Festival homepage More photos » |
