Gay Shame 2009
Gay Shame serves up a 'festival of femininity' at the Brixton Academy

Billed as an 'indoor playground of interactive art and alternative ideas' around a 'Go Girly' theme, the Gay Shame event is put on by the fine folks behind Duckie, our favourite London gay club.
The club shares a similar non-commercial, anti-consumerist angle as our very own Offline Club in Brixton, but this Academy event was truly a bumper affair, with thirty-five sideshows, 100 performance artists and 3,000 revellers.
The line up included radical femmes, first ladies, femme doms, fairies, WI's, debutantes, dandies, birds, brides, blowzabellas, Quentins, spinsters, sissies and suffragettes, with Amy Lamé hosting.
We had a terrific time. Here's some photos.
