Offline at the Brixton Prince Albert, 21st November 2008
A packed night of fantastic mayhem with the Dulwich Ukulele Club, Yap/Pink Punk, Cosmo and Lady Lykez, plus DJs.
Ex One Minute Silence frontman Yap put in a fine set.
The welcome return of the fabulous Lady Lykez - an Offline favourite!
All the way from lovely Cardiff, Cosmo delivered a politically charged - and very funny - set. Including a George Formby song!
It was a pleasure to welcome back the massed throng of the Dulwich Ukulele Club. We love this lot!

Map and venue info
We'll be packing the stage with the ranked ukulele-toting masses of the fabulous DULWICH UKULELE CLUB, backed by sharp wit and cutting commentary from anti-folk rebel COSMO, plus rough edged grime and hip-hop from the impossibly young LADY LYKEZ and a solo set from YAP, former front man of rap metal legends, One Minute Silence. We'll also have an overflowing cascade of top DJs, ace videos and photo slideshows and we'll be raising a pipe-shaped glass to Rene Magritte and a clever beer to Voltaire who were both born on this day.
LIVE BANDS
DULWICH UKULELE CLUB
A feast of ukulele action!
The Dulwich Ukulele Club are a large band armed with small instruments. Eight ukulele players, plus bassist and percussionist they play all original material ploughing a similar furrow to their south london compatriots the Alabama Three.

"Pick of the Year" The Telegraph
'A treat ...catch them when you can' The Londonist
COSMO
Grapping with love, politics, dreary Sundays and dingy bedsit philosophy, Cosmo's punk, anti-folk, hip-hop, human beatboxing, bluegrass and cowpunk tunes have made him a regular on the festival circuit. Don't miss him.
LADY LYKEZ
An exciting young Hip Hop/Grime UK female artist with a rising reputation, LadyLykez appeared on the London Urban Collective III ATL album ('rough edged grime and hip-hop with often wise and witty wordplay' DJ magazine) before storming the notorious Club Apache open mic night in Atlanta, USA.
She recently completed an album in Mali, Africa with Akala, Bashy, Kele Le Roc, Silverstone for 'Routes to Rootz' funded by Bigga Fish and she's now back in the UK and ready to showcase her unique sound, "echoing the distinctive UK take of an artist like Dizzee Rascal mixed with the vocal dexterity and off kilter song structures of Missy Elliot."
YAP (PINK PUNK)
Lead singer of Pink Punk and former front man of rap metal legends, One Minute Silence, Yap will be performing a special acoustic set for the Offline massive.
