It was chilly outside but we got Brixton red hot and steamy with a night of top notch tunes in the friendliest boozer in town.
We had a gang of ale-lubricated DJs throwing down the usual party mix of ska, reggae, indie, punk, skiffle, Tom, Kylie, Beyonce, Mrs Mills, Black Sabbath and more - with a few surprises thrown in the mix.
PHOTOS FROM THE DANCEFLOOR:
EDITOR (urban75)
An ale-fuelled onslaught of ska, punk, rock'n'roll, big band, rockabilly, Mrs Mills and Liberace in a floor stomping package.
DJ FREEMAN (Dogstar)
Tons of massive tunes, mixed and mashed in a Brixton style.
DJ SIMON SUBVERT (Abracadabra Sound System)
A feast of old school dancehall, ragga, ska and reggae spiced up with some punk and new wave.
RICH (Cherry red)
Big floor fillers from start to finish with loads of top ska and indie. Yeah!
Videos and photo slideshows of street photography, random amusements and weird shizzle from the internet.
The Albert is less than two minutes walk from Brixton station and a few minutes from the Brixton Academy.
Turn left out of the tube station, take the second left down Coldharbour Lane (by the KFC), go past the Prince of Wales and it's the next pub on your left.
