Crowd give the love!
Skim lays down some tumbleweed electronica in the cabaret room at OFFLINE.
DJ Blagsta ignores persistent punter request to play Celine Dion's 'Love Theme From Titanic.'
Dan Whitehouse on stage in the main room.
Front room crowd.
Graziella's superb rap/hip hop set had people running in from the street to listen!
Duke Garwood laid down a dark, Southern blues-based set that was both challenging and evocative.
Front room crowd.
Vic Lambrusco DJing in the back room.
Hotly tipped local band The Tailors put in a country-tinged acoustic set. Love the pedal steel!
New wave legend and BBC DJ, Tom Robinson treated the crowd to a surprise gig.
Tom had a busy day: in the afternoon he was handing out an Ivor Novello award to Snow Patrol at a glitzy ceremony, then he was at the BBC recording his show before hot-footing it to the Dogstar to play a gig. Respect!
The front room was packed for Tom Robinson's gig.
Tom's set included Steve Earle, John Wesley Harding and Lou Reed covers and a selection of his own material: Winter of 79, What If We Live to Be 50, the superlative War Baby, his monster hit, 2-4-6-8 Motorway.
Crowd scene.
The evening ended with Tom leading a rousing chorus of 'Glad to be Gay' to huge applause. Great gig, Tom!
The Cabaret Room was so packed it took me ages to get to the stage. Yap was a huge hit with his 'scatter gun' verse.
Other Theresa onstage in the Cabaret Room.
Much dancing going on in the main room.
Front room crowd.
View from the DJ booth - I think they like what I'm playing!
