FREE ALL NIGHT!
This night was huge, with a massive crowd down to watch our fantastic festive double bill with the London-based alt-folkers THE LOST CAVALRY and the effervescent Brixton/French gypsy jiggers SANJURO onstage, with DJs spinning big time party tunes, plus original videos, street photo slideshows and more.
Offline faves The Lost Cavalry onstage.
It was great to welcome Sanjuro back to Brixton Offline.
Formed by vocalist Mark West, former guitarist of Fanfarlo, The Lost Cavalry are one of our favourite bands of 2011. Serving up beautifully textured, finely crafted tales of adventure and hope, the band make their way through a vast array of acoustic and electronic instruments top produce a wonderfully eclectic sound.
"an instant delight...beguiling set of crafted alternative indie folk tunes, acoustic smiles ...their songs are uncluttered gems"
"Smiths and early Travis-like guitar pop" Time Out
SANJURO
A lurching feast of Flamenco to Irish jigs mixed up with crowd-rousing waltzes, shanties and ballads.
'Folk rock gypsy French band with an accordion player and a fiddle who are quite clearly bonkers.'
'Jumping up and down Romany madness... delightful!'
'These guys lurch from Flamenco to Irish Jig in the blink of an eye with their repertoire of waltzes, shanties and ballads.
DJs
We'll also have a full crew of hard-drinking Offline regulars throwing down a top selection of tunes, including:

BLUESTREAK
He lives in the grooves between records and goes on holiday in a 7" vinyl record box. Expect some rip-roaring tunes from Bluey.
BARON BOBBY BAUHAUS (charcoal soul) More mysterious than Robert Smith's eyeliner bag, Bobby gets dancefloors rocking with quirky, darkside indie-pop and kohl-smudging breakbeats.
MULTIMEDIA
Videos and photo slideshows of street photography, random amusements and weird shizzle from the internet.
