West Pier and winter clouds
Opened in 1866, Brighton's west pier enjoys Grade I listed status but has lain forlorn since closure in 1975.

Unfortunately, plans to restore this fine pier to its 1920's condition, took a huge knock after part of the pier collapsed in late December, 2002.
