Three days after the High Court had thrown out an attempt by the Metropolitan Police to have the monthly ride outlawed, hundreds of cyclists took to the streets of London.
The cops had claimed that the ride was illegal because it had an organiser who did not give prior warning of the route.
Happily, the High Court was having none of it, saying that it was not a notifiable procession under the Public Order Act - so there was no need to give the police advance notice of the timing and route.
