Crossing the River Tyne

The train journey up to Edinburgh affords some spectacular views, and this is one of my favourites, as the train crosses the Tyne outside Newcastle station.

In the background you can see the curved arch of the famous 1928 Tyne Bridge with the 1981 Metro Bridge in the foreground.
