the Boardwalk, Coney Island

During a stay in New York, I went out to check out Coney Island.

Being brought up on Lou Reed songs, I was half expecting it to be full of hussling Puerto Ricans and switchblade gangs, but it turned out to be a rather sad old seaside town in deep decline - a bit like Barry Town in Wales!
