London, late night

I love the muted silence of a city at night and the way the orange street lighting bathes the roads in a weird monochrome wash.

One of my favourite feelings is walking home through deserted streets after a few beers, coat buttoned up against the chill, quietly humming suitably desolate tunes (cue: Blue Nile, Sinatra, Smiths etc!)
