waiting for the eclipse, Devon

This was a very strange - and beautiful - day indeed.

Thousands of people walked up to a remote clifftop in Devon and sat in silence to watch the day go black.

Out at sea, lighthouses came on and little boat lights swung in the midday darkness.

It was a truly magical and humbling experience to see the earth being blotted out in a manner of minutes.
