Nelson's Column, dusk

Completed in 1843, the columnn stands 185 feet high in Trafalgar Square with an 18ft statue of Lord Nelson on the top.

Acanthus leaves, cast from British cannons decorate the top, and the four bronze relief panels at the base were cast from armaments captured from the French.
